Since it’s first haunting on retail shelves, Mattel’s Monster High has always served up some scary good content for fans of all ages. From their large and astonishing range of dolls, collectables, books and even games- Monster High has allowed fans to emerse themselves in everything Monster High.
And now fans have new and exciting ways to venture the halls of Monster High with new game collaborations with Fortnite and Roblox.
Mattel is launching “Monster High” inspired video games in Roblox and Fortnite as part of the toy company’s larger effort to bolster its in-house game development business and move beyond licensed titles.
Debuting Wednesday in Fortnite, “Monster High: Paranormal Peril” is a co-op ghost hunting adventure that allows up to four players to explore a mystery at Monster High with twelve characters from the franchise available at launch.
Per Mattel, “A wickedly chaotic curse has been unleashed at Monster High. Explore the haunted halls and use Frankie’s fangtastic tools to uncover clues and identify which of twelve Monster High ghouls is behind the chaos. Could it be Draculaura, Cleo, Clawdeen, Frankie, or Lagoona Blue?”
Developed by Mattel in partnership with Look North Interactive using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), the game marks Mattel’s second entry into the Fortnite UEFN creator platform following the August launch of “Masters of the Universe: He-Man Heroes.”
Mattel’s “Monster High: Paranormal Peril” can be played on Fortnite using the following island code: 3449-2677-1935.
Over on Roblox, Mattel is launching its “Monster High” game Oct. 24 as the first step in a larger partnership between the toy brand and the gaming platform that will see games inspired by Barbie, Hot Wheels, Masters of hte Universe, Uno and more Mattel IP.
In the new game, “fans can step inside the haunted halls of Monster High like never before—customizing their pet ‘Creepanions,’ crafting powerful elixirs in Frankie Stein’s Alchemy Lab, and joining Clawdeen Wolf’s pack to fuel the legendary Ghoulstone for fang-tastic rewards,” according to Mattel. “Featuring iconic characters, endless style options, and secrets lurking beneath the school, the experience invites players to team up, show their claws, and discover that monster magic never goes out of style.”
Additionally, as of Wednesday, Mattel’s Polly Pocket and Street Sharks brands are now available on the Roblox License Manager and Licenses catalog — a program that enables IP holders to give Roblox developers access to officially licensed assets for gameplay and fan creations — with Matchbox and Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots coming soon.

While not Mattel’s first large-scale Roblox project (Gamefam developed Roblox game “Barbie DreamHouse Tycoon” for Mattel in 2023, which went on to become a top performer, reaching close to 500 million visits), it marks the first one developed in-house by Mattel and underscores the company’s mission to expand its homegrown digital offerings.
In 2025, Mattel launched more than 20 standalone games and integrations across mobile, console, PC, and in-car platforms and revealed a partnership with OpenAI for further gaming development plans. Next year, Mattel will be launching its first in-house developed and self-published mobile game, though further details on that project are being kept under wraps.
