It’s far from a secret that Netflix and Sony’s summer sizzler, Kpop Demon Hunters, has taken the globe by storm.
In response to the outpouring of fan admiration, Netflix has continued to soar with all things related to the HUNTR/X girls and their world. From clothing to phone cases and more, fans have been able to show their love for their favorite characters in style.
The only request that has yet to be met is for dolls and other toys. While collectible figures have already gone up for preorder through popular brands such as Funko, fans have been calling for more—just like the tidal wave of excitement Bobby faced before the canceled first live performance of Golden.
Now, Kpop Demon Hunters has once again done something unprecedented: the franchise has granted rights to two legacy toy makers as the official licensors for all things HUNTR/X and Saja—Mattel and Hasbro. It’s a mind-blowing move, and one we discuss in more detail over at BSCKids.
As exciting as this announcement is, we’ll have to wait until sometime next year to get our first look at the all-new, sure-to-sell-out range of merchandise.
But before then, Mattel is set to make this holiday season a little more golden. The company is creating a special three-pack featuring our favorite hunters—Rumi, Mira, and Zoey—in their deluxe fashions directly inspired by the film’s final performance, This Is What It Sounds Like. The pack will be available for preorder later this year through Mattel Creations, with release planned for next year.
While no teaser photos have been revealed yet, we can’t help but feel utterly delighted as we (not so) patiently await the preorder date this November.
Stay tuned here for more updates on upcoming Kpop Demon Hunters merchandise, and be sure to check out BSCKids’ YouTube channel, where we’ll be reviewing these toys as they release.
